Zimbabwean Billionaire Chivayo to be Buried in an Expensive Rolls-Royce Casket

Zimbabwean businessman Wicknell Chivayo is reportedly being laid to rest in a custom-made casket inspired by a Rolls-Royce, as family members, friends and thousands of mourners gather to pay their final respects.

His wife, Lucy Muteke, is also being buried in a specially designed casket inspired by a Mercedes-Benz, reflecting the luxurious theme surrounding the couple’s final farewell.

According to reports, there will be no public viewing of their bodies because of the condition of the remains following a fatal helicopter crash. DNA testing and forensic identification were reportedly completed before the burial arrangements proceeded.

The couple’s funeral has attracted widespread attention across Zimbabwe and beyond, with thousands of people reportedly attending to honour their lives.

A funeral procession held in Harare on the previous day drew large crowds, with mourners lining the streets and causing significant traffic disruptions in parts of the capital.

Chivayo was also reportedly declared a Provincial Hero following his death, an honour recognising his standing in the community.

Despite the preparations for the burial, questions surrounding the helicopter crash remain unanswered. Investigators are continuing efforts to determine the circumstances that led to the tragic incident.

The deaths of Chivayo and his wife have sparked considerable public interest, while their elaborate funeral arrangements have become a major talking point.
