A United States-based political advisory and lobbying firm, Von Batten-Montague-York, has released fresh documents in the federal case concerning Nigerian President Bola Tinubu.
The firm disclosed this in a statement posted on its verified X account.
According to the firm, a newly filed court document cited criminal proceedings and public reports concerning allegations that DCI Group, which it described as representatives of Tinubu’s administration in Washington, D.C., was connected to an alleged hacking operation targeting American activists.
The alleged operation reportedly involved stolen information used to discredit critics.
There was tension at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, on Saturday when thugs reportedly attacked members of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC.
The NDC members were said to have gone to the airport to welcome their governorship candidate before the incident occurred.
This is coming barely one month after the NDC alleged that “state-sponsored thugs” attacked its members during a grassroots meeting in Obuoffia Ward, Nkanu West Local Government Area of the state.
In the footage shared on X, the NDC members were heard saying that they were being shot at and tear gassed.
The founder and grand patron of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, High Chief Government Oweizidei Thomas Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has donated 32 campaign vehicles to Bauchi State to support the mobilisation of voters for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid.
The vehicles were unveiled on Saturday during the inauguration of the movement and the presentation of campaign materials at the Games Village in Bauchi.
Represented by the managing director of Tantita Security Services, High Chief Kestin Ebimorbowei Pondi, Tompolo said the Tinubu administration had recorded achievements in infrastructure and other critical sectors, which, in his view, justified continued support for the President.
He urged Nigerians, particularly residents of Bauchi State, to assess the administration’s record and policies as they prepare to make political decisions ahead of the 2027 general elections.
No fewer than six residents were reportedly killed in fresh attacks by suspected armed herdsmen on Tse-Nyaku, Biliji and other communities in Mbatian and Mbazum, Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State.
The attacks occurred on Friday evening, according to a resident of Mbatian, Aondofa David.
A security source also told LEADERSHIP that several residents were missing following the attacks.
A resident of Biliji, one of the affected communities, who pleaded anonymity, said nine people were reportedly killed, although only six bodies had been recovered as of the time of filing this report.
