“Tinubu Is Sleeping Soundly Ahead of the Election; He Is the Most Humble Politician I Know” —Igbokwe

According to a post shared by Joe Igbokwe on his official Facebook page on the 10th of October, 2026, the All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain has expressed confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election, describing him as the most humble politician he knows and claiming that his residence is always filled with visitors.

Igbokwe made the remarks while speaking about Tinubu’s political position ahead of the next general election. According to the statement, he said the president was “sleeping soundly” ahead of the 2027 poll, suggesting that he believes Tinubu remains confident as preparations for the election continue.

The APC chieftain also praised the president’s personal disposition, describing him as a humble politician. He reportedly pointed to the number of people who regularly visit Tinubu’s residence as an indication of his relationships with political associates and other individuals.

The comments come as political activities surrounding Nigeria’s 2027 general election continue to attract attention from politicians, party supporters and opposition figures. Tinubu, who won the 2023 presidential election under the APC, has indicated his intention to seek a second term in office.

Tinubu’s re-election bid has become a major issue in Nigeria’s political discussions. In May 2026, the president secured the APC’s presidential ticket after the party’s primaries, confirming his intention to seek a second and final four-year term. His candidacy places him at the centre of the political contest expected to take place in 2027.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled the presidential and National Assembly elections for January 16, 2027, while governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections are scheduled for February 6, 2027.
