“This Gov’t is collapsing not because of opposition but because of its own appointees“—Captain Smart
Captain Smart has criticised the Attorney General and EOCO leadership over what he believes is a failure to guarantee equal justice and consistent enforcement of Ghana’s laws.
During a recent broadcast, the media personality argued that the perception that justice is applied selectively has contributed significantly to growing public dissatisfaction with government and state institutions.
He questioned the fairness of a system in which ordinary people can face serious penalties for relatively minor infractions, while individuals with political power or strong connections are allegedly treated more leniently.
Captain Smart warned that such perceived disparities could undermine the credibility of institutions responsible for upholding justice and fighting corruption.
He called for the law to be applied uniformly to all citizens, stressing that political influence, wealth, social status or personal connections should not determine how a person is treated by the justice system.
The comments have renewed public debate over corruption, institutional accountability and the need to restore confidence in Ghana’s justice system.
Captain Smart maintained that only an impartial and consistent approach to law enforcement can strengthen democratic governance and rebuild trust between citizens and state institutions.
