The series, which follows the rise and reign of the legendary Zulu King Shaka, is also set to make its international debut, with Seasons 1 and 2 scheduled to become available to broadcasters around the world.
The first-look images offer a glimpse into the next chapter of Shaka iLembe, which picks up four years after the events of Season 2.
At the beginning of the new season, Shaka’s kingdom is stronger than ever, but new threats are emerging as British expansion and growing European influence begin to affect the region.
The upcoming season will also expand the show’s historical world by introducing the Basotho Kingdom under Moshoeshoe, King Faku’s Mpondo Kingdom and Port Natal.
Meanwhile, Queen Nandi and Mkabayi remain central to the story as the drama continues to explore the political and personal relationships surrounding Shaka’s reign.

Season 3 will also introduce several new cast members who will portray historical figures.
The new characters are expected to add another layer to the story as the series explores the changing political landscape and increasing European presence.

-Conrad Kemp joins the cast as Lt. Francis Farewell.
-Lerato Mvelase joins the cast as Queen Mpikase.
-Aiden Scott joins the cast as Henry Francis Fynn.

Described as South Africa’s most decorated and most-watched drama series of all time, Shaka iLembe is now preparing to introduce its story to audiences beyond the country.
While Seasons 1 and 2 are set to reach broadcasters around the world, Season 3 will continue the story with an expanded setting and new characters.
The international rollout marks another milestone for the production, which has attracted significant attention in South Africa since its debut.
Fans will have to wait a little longer for the new season.
A premiere date for Shaka iLembe Season 3 has not yet been revealed.
For now, the newly released images are giving viewers their first glimpse of the next chapter, with Shaka’s kingdom facing a changing political landscape and new forces on the horizon.
