Say I Am Lying Screenshot This Post —NPP Supporter Predict 157 Parliamentary Seat for the Party 2028

A supporter of the New Patriotic Party has set out an ambitious projection for the 2028 parliamentary elections, arguing that the party can hold its existing 87 seats and add 70 more to reach 157, a figure that would return it to a commanding majority in Parliament.

Writing on his Facebook wall, Kadiago Salman said the post followed an earlier one in which he made the same case, drawing sceptical questions from figures including Dr Seidu Fiter and Hon Mahamud Mohammed, who wanted to know how such a feat could be achieved. In his latest post, he began answering them by naming seats he believes are already out of reach for the National Democratic Congress.

Tema West, Ablekuma North and Dome-Kwabenya are all seats he expects the NPP to gain, with Hohoe to be reclaimed. In the Upper West Region, he projects two additional seats for the party, and one more in the Upper East Region. He also names Nanton and Yendi as seats the NPP will win, and predicts that in the Ashanti Region the NDC will take only two seats.

He was careful to note that these are only some of the constituencies and regional outcomes informing a broader projection, with the remaining gains expected from other competitive constituencies across the country. His argument, he explained, rests on fielding the right candidates, strong grassroots mobilisation, effective campaigning, and a strategy that speaks directly to voters’ concerns.

Anticipating pushback, he insisted he is not declaring election results but making a prediction, and invited critics to screenshot the post and revisit it after December 7, 2028. The ballot box, he said, will have the final say.
