Rita Edochie Questions People Who Expect Sympathy After Betraying Others

According to a post shared on her official Instagram account, @ritaedochie, on Saturday, October 10, 2026, Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has questioned people who expect sympathy after betraying others.

In the post, the actress criticised people who cause pain to others but struggle to accept similar treatment when they become victims. She questioned why some individuals find it acceptable to hurt another person but consider the same actions unfair when directed at them.

Rita Edochie also challenged people who expect others to defend them after experiencing betrayal, despite having previously put someone else through a similar situation. She emphasised the importance of applying the same standards to oneself and others.

The actress further noted that people should not demand justice for themselves while denying others the same treatment. She also highlighted the contradiction in expecting loyalty after participating in betrayal and seeking sympathy while ignoring the pain caused to others.

According to her post, nobody deserves to experience betrayal, and knowing how painful it can be should encourage people to avoid putting others through the same experience.

Rita Edochie concluded that the world would be a better place if people applied the same moral standards to themselves that they readily use to judge others.
