Kenya Weather Forecast: Several Counties Expected to Receive Rain on Saturday. Residents across various parts of Kenya have been advised to prepare for rainfall on Saturday, October 10, according to the latest forecast issued by the Kenya Meteorological Department (KMD). Showers are expected in coastal, eastern, central and western regions, with thunderstorms likely in some areas.

Along the Coast, parts of Mombasa, Kwale, Kilifi and Lamu are likely to experience moderate showers in the morning, which are expected to reduce to light rainfall in the afternoon. Taita Taveta may also receive moderate morning showers, while some parts of Tana River are forecast to experience light rain throughout the day.

The weather outlook also covers northeastern and eastern counties, including Wajir, Mandera, Marsabit, Meru, Tharaka-Nithi, Embu, Kitui, Machakos and Makueni. Afternoon showers are possible in several locations, with moderate rainfall expected in parts of Kitui.

In Central Kenya and Nairobi, showers are forecast in Nyandarua, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang’a, Kiambu, Laikipia and the capital. Some areas of Murang’a, Kiambu and Nairobi could receive moderate rainfall during the afternoon hours.

Across western Kenya, counties such as Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Busia, Siaya, Kisumu, Homa Bay, Migori, Kisii and Nyamira are expected to experience sunny intervals in the morning before weather conditions potentially change.

Thunderstorms are also possible in parts of the Rift Valley, including West Pokot, Trans Nzoia, Elgeyo-Marakwet, Nandi, Baringo, Kericho and Bomet.

Other counties included in the forecast are Garissa, Isiolo, Turkana, Samburu, Uasin Gishu, Nakuru, Narok and Kajiado. However, weather conditions may differ from one location to another within the same county.

Residents are encouraged to keep track of official updates from the Kenya Meteorological Department as the weather situation evolves. Motorists should drive carefully on wet and slippery roads, while people living in flood-prone areas are urged to remain vigilant, particularly where heavy rainfall occurs.
