Emi Buendia goes down after getting a knee in the back of the leg from Igor Thiago.

The referee has a think about it but eventually the Brazilian forward goes into the book. Don't think he can complain there really.

After that dismal performance at Brentford before the international break, Chelsea have responded well.

20Shareclose panelShare pageCopy linkAbout sharing Malick Fofana's first touch is to head away a corner and his second touch is a brilliant slide tackle to win the ball before charging forward. He's already done more than most of the players in this game.

00Shareclose panelShare pageCopy linkAbout sharing Boos around Villa Park as El Hadji Malick Diouf steps in on John McGinn. He gets a warning from the referee but nothing more at this stage.

3010Shareclose panelShare pageCopy linkAbout sharing Sunderland veteran Thomas Meunier is sitting down and I suspect he needs to come off.

3038Shareclose panelShare pageCopy linkAbout sharing Fulham are yet to win in the Premier League this season but they are spraying it around with confidence at Portman Road.

And they go close to breaking the deadlock through Sander Berge, who forces a fine save from Christian Walton after the move of the match.

Chelsea are passing the ball quickly and they are intent.

I was asking someone what is different with Alonso and the response was, 'he wants to entertain, he wants to still be on the front foot and score goals.'

51280Shareclose panelShare pageCopy linkAbout sharing A very casual stepover in his own box from Brighton defender Luka Vuskovic, who is lucky really to be clipped by Wilson Isidor. Not sure he knew the Sunderland striker was just behind him.

4014Shareclose panelShare pageCopy linkAbout sharing Villa fans are getting worked up about how long it is taking Brentford to take a throw-in.

As we know, the Bees specialise in long throw-ins. They have put 26 long throws into the box, the joint-most of any team, along with Leeds.

5537Shareclose panelShare pageCopy linkAbout sharing The camera shows a Sunderland fan yawning. Understandable so far for entertainment levels.

I'm sure Brighton fans will be exhausted too – it's a six-hour drive.

Bournemouth have settled into this match finally and are knocking the ball around well and penning Chelsea into their own half.

It has prompted frustration from some Blues supporters for their team trying to play safe passes.

However, having failed to get a clean sheet against Premier League opposition, manager Xabi Alonso is gesturing for calm as his side begin to be tested.

8724Shareclose panelShare pageCopy linkAbout sharing Yes their team is leading, but Chelsea fans have been here before this season.

They will not relax until their team get another goal or two.

The Blues just cannot keep a clean sheet.

9218Shareclose panelShare pageCopy linkAbout sharing Jordan Henderson is Chelsea's oldest English goalscorer in the Premier League (36 years and 115 days) since John Terry against Watford in May 2017 (36 years and 159 days).

The set-piece is swung in but eventually Villa clear.
