PAA sets up passenger facilitation counters amid flight disruptions
The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has introduced special passenger assistance arrangements at airports across the country as flight delays and cancellations linked to tensions in Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries disrupt travel.
According to the authority, interruptions affecting direct flights to several Saudi cities have caused difficulties for passengers. Facilitation counters have been established to provide guidance and help travellers obtain updated flight information.
At Lahore Airport, the dedicated counter is located on Level II, opposite the international departure entrance. Passengers affected by delays or cancellations can approach the counter for assistance and information about their flights.
The PAA has instructed airlines to ensure their representatives remain available at the designated counters whenever flight operations are disrupted. Airline staff are expected to provide updates on flight status, revised departure times and other relevant details.
PAA personnel will also assist passengers and coordinate with airlines to address their concerns. The authority has called on airlines to cooperate fully and ensure travellers receive timely and accurate information.
The measures are intended to minimise inconvenience caused by ongoing flight disruptions.
Passengers have been advised to check their flight status and departure schedules with their respective airlines before leaving for the airport.
