Nigerian Man Calls Out Lagos Government As Car Catches Fire On Third Mainland Bridge Near Emergency Unit
after a vehicle overturned and burst into flames on the Third Mainland Bridge.
The man, who said he was driving on the bridge when he came across the incident, expressed shock that no emergency personnel appeared to be at the scene to respond to the burning vehicle.
According to him, the situation was particularly concerning because the vehicle was reportedly close to the Lagos State Emergency unit stationed on the bridge.
Despite the proximity of the emergency facility, he claimed that no officials were in sight to handle the situation.
Lamenting the incident in a video circulating online, the man said: “Imagine, Lagos State Emergency — nobody is here.”
His complaint has drawn attention to concerns about emergency response on one of Lagos State’s major bridges, where a vehicle fire could pose a risk to motorists and cause traffic disruption.
However, the circumstances surrounding the incident, including whether emergency personnel later arrived at the scene, were not established in the account.
