“Never Dish Out What You Cannot Eat”- Adewumi Fatai Opens Up On Painful Humiliation

Nollywood actress, film producer and makeover artist Adewumi Fatai has opened up about a painful experience she still remembers as she counts down to her wedding.

The actress recently shared a video on Instagram featuring herself, her partner, her son, Yasir, and her mother. Dressed beautifully for what appeared to be a wedding photoshoot, Fatai gave fans a glimpse of a special moment with her loved ones.

Expressing her gratitude to God, she accompanied the video with a heartfelt message, writing, “In all Allihamdulilai aye ope yo.”

In another post, however, the mother of one reflected on an unpleasant experience involving humiliation, admitting that such moments can be difficult to forget even after forgiveness.

According to Fatai, forgiving someone does not automatically erase the pain their actions caused. She noted that although a person may choose to move on from a hurtful situation, the emotional impact can remain long after the incident.

The actress also advised her followers to think carefully before embarrassing or humiliating others, urging them to consider whether they could withstand the same treatment.

She wrote, “Humiliation is not something you easily forget, especially when it comes from someone you never expected it from. I may try to forgive and move on, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t hurt. Before you disgrace anyone, ask yourself: Can I handle it if someone does the same to me? Never dish out what you cannot eat.”
