Man demands GH₵75,000 from fiancée after DNA test shows he is not biological father
A paternity dispute has erupted between Moses Sarewa and his fiancée, Theresa Ataa, after a DNA test reportedly revealed that he is not the biological father of their six-month-old daughter.
Moses appeared on Obra Show, broadcast on NHYIRA FM and ADOM TV, seeking help following suspicions surrounding the pregnancy.
He said he secretly conducted a DNA test after Theresa repeatedly rejected his suggestions for one.
According to Moses, the test results showed that he was not the child’s biological father, despite providing financial, emotional, and physical support throughout the pregnancy and continuing to cater for both mother and child.
Theresa, who reportedly declined to appear on the programme following advice from her uncle, questioned the circumstances surrounding the DNA test and insisted that another test should be conducted.
“I am not basing my position on his test. I want us to conduct a new one, so why don’t you come?” the show’s host, Ohemaa Benewaa, asked.
However, efforts by the Obra Show team to facilitate another DNA test were unsuccessful, as Theresa and her uncle reportedly continued to object to participating in the programme and undergoing a new test.
Feeling cheated by the development, Moses demanded GH₵75,000 in compensation from his fiancée.
The demand triggered a heated exchange, during which Theresa accused Moses of being impotent.
“So you want GH₵75,000? We will pay you your money, but we shall see. You will return to Akyem Techiman, and I will deal with you. You impotent man! You are impotent!” she reportedly said.
When questioned further, Theresa repeatedly alleged that Moses had impotence, a claim he rejected, describing it as an attempt to disgrace him.
Moses is now calling for a fresh DNA test or payment of the compensation he is demanding over their relationship and the circumstances surrounding the child’s paternity. He has also indicated that he may pursue legal action.
The dispute has reignited public conversations about paternity testing, financial responsibilities in relationships, and the emotional consequences of disputed parenthood.
