Kansas City police investigating fatal stabbing

Police are searching for a suspect after man was found with stab wounds outside a home

Police in Kansas City, Missouri, are investigating a fatal stabbing.

Officers were called to a home near E 46th Street and Chestnut Avenue around 9:30 Saturday morning. They found an adult male victim on the front porch of a home with apparent stab wounds. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.

Police say a preliminary investigation shows the incident occurred at a separate location and that the victim traveled to the area where he was found by officers.

The incident is being investigated as a homicide. Police say they do not have a suspect in custody. Anyone with information is asked to call the Crimestoppers Tips Hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
