I’m a widow; pay us to settle my children’s fees – Agnes Abeidu begs Mahama
Ms Agnes Abeidu, an organiser of the Controlled Food Suppliers Association (CFSA), has appealed to President John Dramani Mahama to pay the outstanding amounts owed to the association, saying the delay has left her struggling to meet her family’s needs and settle her children’s school fees.
Speaking in an emotional appeal on UTV, Abeidu disclosed that she was facing pressure from creditors over unpaid debts, with some allegedly cursing her and threatening to take her to the police.
“President Mahama, I am a widow. Please pay us so I can pay my children’s school fees,” she pleaded.
She explained that pressure from creditors had made life increasingly difficult, leaving her and others unable to enjoy peace at home.
“We cannot even stay at home,” she said on UTV.
Abeidu pleaded, tears in her eyes, urging the government to pay the association so she could meet her financial obligations, including the cost of educating her children.
