Flooding threat continues into Saturday night, early Sunday
(WSPA) – Post-tropical storm Isaias is slowly weakening, but still bringing rain and wind across the area. Saturday night and Sunday are Weather Impact days as localized flooding is likely, with isolated strong thunderstorms Saturday evening into early Sunday.
A flood watch is in effect until Sunday afternoon. A wind advisory is in place for western North Carolina until Sunday morning. Wind gusts could get as high as 45 mph, with stronger gusts above 3500 ft in the mountains.
Less rain is expected Sunday as conditions slowly improve. There will be a few lingering showers and some breezy conditions at times. Temperatures will reach into the lower 70s.
Monday through the end of the week will have plenty of sunshine and warm weather. Temperatures will be warm with many highs in the low to mid 80s.
