Father arrested for alleged sexual assault of 13-year-old daughter in Rawalpindi

Police have arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting his 13-year-old daughter in Muhammadi Colony, within the jurisdiction of Sadiqabad Police Station, officials said.

According to police, a case was registered against the accused, identified as Imran, on the complaint of the victim’s maternal uncle.

The complainant alleged that the girl’s father sexually assaulted her while her mother was abroad.

According to the case details, the accused allegedly assaulted the girl inside a gaming room and threatened her to prevent her from disclosing the incident.

The girl later informed her mother about the alleged assault during a telephone conversation.

The complainant said his sister, after learning about the incident, requested that her children be sent to her brother’s residence in Attock without confronting her husband.

He said he advised his sister that a police complaint should be filed once the children reached his home in Attock.

Police said that despite the delay in reporting the incident, Sadiqabad Police took action and arrested the accused.

Following the completion of his physical remand, a court sent Imran to jail on judicial remand.

Police said legal proceedings in the case were underway.
