(WSET) — Crews responded Friday morning to the Huddleston area of Bedford County for a car that had crashed into a building.
Units from the Bedford County Sheriff's Office, Bedford County Fire and Rescue, and several other volunteer fire departments responded to 1300 Peaceful Ridge Road around 8 a.m. on October 9, where they found a small sedan in the middle of a single-wide home that had been added onto.
According to the Forest Fire Department, one person was transported to a hospital with minor injuries.

Bedford County Fire Marshal Whipple said the car was removed from the home without any further damage to the structure, but the home is unlivable.
A family of eight was displaced by the incident. The American Red Cross is assisting them.
There is an ongoing investigation into what caused the car to crash.
