Duale Challenges Kenyans to Assess Ruto’s Record Before Deciding on Who to Support in 2027

Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has challenged Kenyans to evaluate President William Ruto’s development record before deciding who to support in the August 2027 General Election.

Duale said voters should examine the government’s performance as they prepare to elect their next leaders, insisting that opposition parties should also present credible plans that offer an alternative to the current administration.

In a statement shared on his X account on Saturday, October 10, the CS said the electorate needs to assess the government’s achievements while weighing the options available ahead of the polls.

He argued that the opposition should provide a clear development agenda that Kenyans can scrutinise and compare with the government’s record.

Duale made the remarks while attending a fundraising drive for Nanighi Mosque, Tahfidh Quran and Madrassa in Garissa County, where he was the chief guest.

The event brought together religious leaders, local leaders and residents to support the institutions, which play a role in religious education and community development.

During the visit, Duale also assessed voter registration activities and held discussions with officials from the National Registration Bureau.

He urged eligible citizens to register as voters in large numbers, noting that registration would enable them to participate in the electoral process and determine the country’s political direction.

CS Duale’s remarks come as opposition leaders intensify their criticism of President Ruto’s administration ahead of the 2027 General Election.

The opposition, led by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, has accused the government of failing to deliver on its promises.
