Florida A&M football coach Quinn Gray abruptly ended a live postgame television interview between quarterback Armond Parker and reporter Symone Stanley. The awkward interaction took place shortly after the Rattlers secured a tight 28-27 victory against Alabama State.

Florida A&M football coach Quinn Gray issued a formal public apology to SWAC TV sideline reporter Symone Stanley. He posted the statement on Facebook following an awkward postgame interaction involving quarterback Armond Parker.

During the live broadcast, Gray pulled Parker away from Stanley while she was asking a question. Gray wrote, “Want to take a moment and apologize to Ms. Symone Stanley of SWAC TV for the abrupt ending to her interview of our QB Armond Parker.”

Consequently, he clarified that a chaotic situation was simultaneously developing on the field among players. He added that tempers were flaring and he needed everyone to get to the locker room immediately.

In the game, Armond Parker completed 13-of-20 passes for three touchdowns and 290 yards in the win, while finishing with two interceptions. His biggest moment was a 89-yard throw to Armand Burris with 6:03 remaining in the fourth quarter, which proved to be the eventual go-ahead, game-winning touchdown.
