Ashura Imam Hussian (AS) observed today as per Gregorian calendar

The great martyrdom of Imram Hussain (AS) and his 72 companion was being observed worldwide with religious solemnity and reverence as according to the Gregorian calendar today is the Day of Ashura.

The Day of Ashura marks the tragic martyrdom of Imam Hussain ibn Ali, the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) at the battle of Karbala.

Imam Hussian was martyred along with sons, nephews and companions with three days of thirst and hunger.

Imam Hussian (AS) and his companions refused to pledge allegiance to the Umayyad caliph Yazid I and pledged to stand for truth and social justice against all evils.

Imam Hussian clearly told the Yazidi forces that he will prefer death and will never ever accept allegiance of evil forces.
