Arsenal signing on as Chelsea agreement confirmed

According to a report by FootballTransfers on Saturday, 10 October, 2026, there have been new rumors that suggest Arsenal may make a move to acquire Julian Alvarez, a striker for Atletico Madrid.

The future of the Argentine forward is a topic of ongoing speculation, but Arsenal is reportedly “very interested” in the player and “movement” is imminent.

While Arsenal consider their options for bolstering their offensive department, Mikel Arteta has taken an interest in the Atletico Madrid striker. The article did not, however, verify that the clubs had reached an agreement or give specifics about a formal bid.

Given his high-level quality and experience, Alvarez’s possible availability could garner considerable attention. Many clubs are interested in signing the Argentine international forward because of his versatility; he can play either as a central striker or as an attacker’s support.

The pursuit of an extra offensive option could further bolster Arsenal’s ambitions, as they have continued to assemble a squad capable of competing for major honors under Arteta.

The player’s status and the outcome of transfer talks between Arsenal and Atletico Madrid are two key factors that could derail a transfer. The report did not reveal any confirmed agreements or transfer fees.

Meanwhile, Cole Palmer, a midfielder for Chelsea, reportedly signed a new contract with the club, according to FootballTransfers. The update, however, did not contain any additional information.

Napoli reportedly approached Manchester United about forward Joshua Zirkzee, and the two clubs are in talks over a potential transfer.

The Spurs will have a weeklong training camp after their match against United, and Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane is supposedly nearing a new deal.

As Arsenal’s interest in Alvarez grows, the player’s name will be on the radar. The likelihood of a transfer is still up in the air until more information about negotiations or a formal offer becomes public knowledge.
