2026/27 Ghana Premier League Match Report: Eric Adarkwa’s late penalty hands All Blacks vital win over Kotoko in Swedru

Swedru All Blacks continued their impressive record against Asante Kotoko with a narrow 1-0 victory in the opening fixture of match-week 6 of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League at the Swedru Sports Stadium on Saturday, October 10.

The hosts and the Porcupine Warriors delivered an entertaining game, with both teams creating moments of attacking threat in an end-to-end encounter.

However, the ‘Ozii Ozaa’ lads enjoyed a slight advantage in overall dominance, making good use of their home support.

The breakthrough arrived after Baah Junior was brought down inside the penalty area by Kotoko defender Patrick Asiedu, leaving the referee with little option but to point to the spot.

Eric Darkwa Wiafe took responsibility for the penalty and made no mistake, sending goalkeeper Haruna Aziz Dari the wrong way to hand the Black and Whites the lead.

The Porcupine Warriors searched for a response, but All Blacks stated resolute to secure their second win of the league campaign.

The result also marked the third consecutive time the Swedru-based side have beaten Kotoko since returning to the topflight and will now turn their attention to their next fixture against Karela United.

Asante Kotoko will return home to prepare for their next game at home against Young Apostles after suffering their second defeat of the season.
