2 held for robbing elderly woman of gold chain

Udupi: Udupi Town police have arrested two men for allegedly robbing a 74-year-old woman of her gold chain after entering her house under the pretext of seeking information related to the special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. The incident occurred around 3.47pm on Oct 7, when the duo allegedly approached Shantha Karanth, who lives alone, claiming they needed information regarding the SIR exercise.
