According to a Post by Ghbase on Facebook Official account on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, Ghanaian musician Showboy has criticized actress Asantewaa over a recent post she made about an alleged incident involving her former relationship, claiming that she was trying to draw sympathy by connecting her experience to the ongoing controversy surrounding Nana Akua.

According to Showboy, Asantewaa’s decision to speak about allegedly being made to sleep outside after returning home late was unnecessary and appeared to be an attempt to suggest that she had also experienced similar treatment in her past relationship.

During a TikTok livestream, Showboy alleged that Asantewaa had previously exchanged romantic messages with some friends of AMG Armani. He claimed there were people who could provide evidence to support his allegation.

Showboy questioned why Asantewaa would bring up her past experience at a time when Nana Akua’s alleged domestic violence situation was receiving significant attention online.

He argued that Asantewaa’s story could give people the impression that she was also seeking public sympathy over what happened during her relationship.

Showboy further claimed that AMG Armani once checked Asantewaa’s phone and allegedly discovered messages in which she told several men that she loved them. He alleged that some of the men were people Armani personally knew.

He also questioned the circumstances surrounding the alleged incident in which Asantewaa was reportedly made to sleep outside after arriving home late.

According to Showboy, Asantewaa should not expect people to automatically take her side simply because she shared the story while Nana Akua’s matter was trending.

His comments have since added another layer to the ongoing social media discussions surrounding relationships, alleged domestic violence and the experiences shared by Ghanaian public figures.
