Troops Defuse Terrorists’ Explosives On Zamfara Road

Troops of Operation Fansan Yamma have neutralised two explosive devices planted along a road in Zamfara State, averting a potential disaster for commuters.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama disclosed this in a post on his X page, saying the explosives were discovered along the Magami–Hannutara–Dansadau road in Maru Local Government Area.

According to Makama, the operation followed credible intelligence about explosive devices planted along the route, prompting troops of Sector 2 to secure the area and conduct a thorough search.

The troops identified two locations where the explosives had been planted before deploying an Explosive Ordnance Disposal team to handle the threat.

The team successfully destroyed one device and recovered the second, rendering it harmless.

Following the operation, troops intensified patrols and surveillance along the road to protect commuters, secure nearby communities and prevent further attacks.

Operation Fansan Yamma urged residents and road users to remain vigilant and report suspicious objects or activities to the nearest security agency.

The operation is part of ongoing efforts to counter terrorist threats and improve security along vulnerable routes in Zamfara State.
