Toni Braxton Poses With Birdman In Sultry 59th Birthday Photoshoot

Fifty-nine looks good on Toni Braxton, and she clearly knows it. The R&B icon marked her birthday with a smoldering new photoshoot that leaned all the way into confidence, with husband Birdman eventually stepping into the frame beside her. Braxton shared the images on October 7, posing in a black long-sleeved bodysuit with sheer detailing, feather-trimmed stilettos, and voluminous curls. Rather than pretending aging is something to outrun, she made it part of the celebration.

“Every fold. Every wrinkle,” she wrote in the birthday post. “If it’s up to me … Im still feeling SEXY.” She added, “Damn near 60 today! Happy Birthday to ME! Libra SZN!”

The shoot quickly drew love from friends and family, including Tamar Braxton, Brandy, and Tina Knowles. Yet, one of the most notable additions came from Birdman, who shared his own photo from the same session. The couple posed together in coordinating dark looks as the Cash Money co-founder wished his wife a happy birthday and affectionately called her his “lil woodie.”

For a couple with years of history behind them, Braxton and Birdman have never been especially interested in making their marriage a public spectacle. Their friendship stretched back well before romance entered the picture, with Braxton previously saying they had been close for more than 15 years before things turned romantic around 2016.

They became engaged in 2018, but the road to marriage was anything but linear. After years of breakups, reconciliations, and persistent speculation about where they stood, the pair quietly married on August 8, 2024. Their union remained private for months, and Braxton later filed for divorce before ultimately withdrawing the petition.

Earlier this year, she offered another rare glimpse behind the curtain when she shared wedding photos while celebrating their second anniversary. Birdman was absent from those images, making his appearance in the birthday shoot feel more deliberate. Moreover, Braxton has also spoken openly about the comfort she found with Birdman while navigating lupus, telling People that he was one of the few people who made her feel she didn’t have to perform strength all the time.
