SAD NEWS: Popular Ghanaian Pastor Confirmed Dead By Nigel Gaisie

The death of Bishop Richard Ankomah Kwesi Ampofo has left Ghana’s Christian community in mourning. Bishop Ampofo, who founded Christian Redemption International Ministry, was remembered as a dedicated minister whose life touched many people. Prophet Nigel Gaisie announced his passing through an emotional Facebook message on Saturday, June 14, 2025.

Bishop Ampofo was affectionately called “Big Daddy” by members of his congregation. He was regarded as a humble and caring man who placed great importance on mentoring and preparing younger ministers for leadership. Over the years, his guidance reportedly influenced a number of young pastors, while his generosity and leadership earned him admiration within Christian circles.

Prophet Gaisie paid tribute to the late bishop by highlighting the support and guidance he offered to younger people in ministry.

“Agya, you made the prophetic walk easier for us. You never sabotaged the younger generation. Your final words of advice still linger in my heart. Thank you for leading by example. Rest in the prophetic embrace of Christ. Agya Nsiah…PNG,” the prophet stated.

The loss has been particularly difficult for Bishop Ampofo’s relatives and church members because his passing occurred not long after the funeral of his nephew, making the period an especially painful one for the family.

Tributes soon began pouring in across social media as fellow ministers, followers, friends and members of the public reflected on his life and sent messages of sympathy to those he left behind.

Bishop Ampofo’s death represents a significant loss to the Christian community. His work as a pastor, mentor and spiritual leader has left a lasting impression, and many who benefited from his ministry are expected to continue remembering his legacy with affection. May he rest in eternal peace.
