Shehbaz expresses grief over civilian casualties, reaffirms commitment to Saudi Arabia’s security

Pakistan has strongly condemned Houthi missile attacks on Saudi Arabia, with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressing grief over the loss of civilian lives and reaffirming Islamabad’s unwavering support for the kingdom’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and security.

The prime minister condemned the attacks targeting Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport and Abha Airport, while calling on the Houthi militia to immediately halt its attacks on Saudi Arabia.

Prime Minister Sharif expressed sorrow over the civilian casualties resulting from the attacks and conveyed Pakistan’s solidarity with Saudi Arabia amid the escalating security concerns. He also commended the alertness and professionalism demonstrated by Saudi and coalition forces in responding to the attacks.

The prime minister reiterated that Pakistan remained steadfastly committed to safeguarding Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and security.

Shehbaz reaffirmed Pakistan’s solidarity with Saudi Arabia under the joint defence agreement, underscoring Islamabad’s commitment to supporting the kingdom’s security and defence. He stated that Saudi Arabia had the full right to defend its people, cities and vital installations against attacks.

The prime minister also pledged Pakistan’s continued and full support for Saudi Arabia’s security and defence, reiterating Islamabad’s commitment to the kingdom amid regional security challenges.

The prime minister called on the Houthi militia to immediately cease attacks against Saudi Arabia, stressing the need to protect civilian lives and prevent further threats to the kingdom’s cities and critical infrastructure.

Pakistan’s condemnation of the missile attacks and renewed pledge of support underscore its commitment to Saudi Arabia’s security under the joint defence agreement.
