The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority has revised ex-depot prices of petroleum products, reducing the price of petrol by 66 paisas per litre and increasing high-speed diesel by 52 paisas per litre.
According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Energy’s Petroleum Division on Oct. 9, the revised prices will apply from Oct. 10 to Oct. 12.
The price of motor spirit has been reduced from Rs398.96 per litre to Rs398.30 per litre.
The price of high-speed diesel has been increased from Rs395.72 per litre to Rs396.24 per litre.
The Petroleum Division said the change in prices was made under the federal government’s petroleum pricing mechanism.
It said the revision was necessitated by global developments, including changes in Platts rates, premiums and other incidentals.
