FM urges structural reforms to boost economic growth in meeting with Dutch delegation
Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb met a Dutch business and investor delegation to discuss ways to increase trade and investment between Pakistan and the Netherlands.
Aurangzeb welcomed the Dutch delegation’s interest in exploring the investment opportunities in Pakistan.
He said that Pakistan needed productive investment to boost exports and create jobs. He stressed the need to turn economic stability into investment, higher exports and economic growth.
The finance minister said structural reforms must continue to encourage greater private sector investment in Pakistan.

Earlier on Thursday, the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC), chaired on by Aurangzeb, has approved funds for several key sectors, including increased access to loans for small businesses and farmers.
The ECC had approved measures to expand lending through microfinance and non-banking institutions. It also approved an expansion of the credit guarantee scheme for affordable housing finance.
