North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un claims to have developed ultra-maneuverable AI munitions that have put U.S. allies on red alert.
The new technology was tested around the eastern coastal city of Wonsan last weekend where a missile flew more than 435 miles, according to South Korea’s military.
Photographs taken on the day showed Kim grinning from ear to ear as he watched the missile launch while accompanied by his daughter Ju Ae and wife Ri Sol Ju, who clapped enthusiastically in celebration.

New dawn: North Korea claims its new AI-piloted munitions are totally ‘unavoidable’
The AI tech allows the missiles to ‘change flight orbit at a low altitude’, Kim’s sister Kim Yo Jong boasted.
She claimed: ‘Through today’s launching drill, the strategic missile soldiers have fully demonstrated their professional qualifications and counterattack posture.’
Kim added: ‘We must continue our responsible efforts non-stop to constantly and repeatedly make the enemy recognize the reliability and fatality of our strategic offensive means.’
However, Seoul’s military disputes claims about the evasion capabilities of the technology.
The Defense Ministry said: ‘South Korea and the U.S. maintain a firm combined defense posture and assess that the missile recently launched by North Korea was well within the detection and interception capabilities of the defensive assets operated by the two allies.
‘We urge North Korea to immediately cease actions that heighten tensions on the Korean Peninsula.’
