Menards O gauge Ranch House
The house's design is generally the same, with a different front door (an arched door versus a panel door). A bench swing with a seated figure sits on the right side. My figure had fallen off during shipping, but I located it in the box and easily re-attached it with a bit of E6000 adhesive.
Three other figures (two adults and a child), along with Jack the German Shepherd, are in front of the house or near the garage. Instead of a Buick, you'll find a vintage, red Volkswagen Beetle in the garage. Five hanging flower baskets and four flowering shrubs adorn the front of the house. If the hanging baskets aren't your style, gently pull out the staple that attaches them to the roof overhang to remove them.
The previous release included green shrubs on one side and the rear, but those have been omitted; the only other details are a faucet with a yellow garden hose near a back door.
The structure is lit with multiple LEDs. Two wall sconces flank the front door, and LED strips are in the (open) garage and the interior.
Accessory lighting requires power from Menard's 4.5-volt power supply, sold separately. You can use 279-4061/4361, 4060/4362, or 4050. Connect it through a single plug over the tabletop or from beneath the structure through a hole underneath the base.
If you're looking for a ranch house to add to your layout, check out this structure.
Features: LED lighting, die-cast vehicle, scenery
