Meet the First Daughter of Former President Akufo-Addo and What She is Known For

Gyankroma Akufo-Addo, widely known as Gyankee, is the eldest daughter of former Ghanaian President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. Rather than pursuing a political career, she has built a public profile through her involvement in Ghana’s creative and cultural sector.

In 2017, Gyankroma was appointed Director of the Creative Arts Council, where she became involved in efforts to strengthen and formalise the country’s creative industry. Her work has focused on areas including music, film, fashion and visual arts, with an emphasis on creating more opportunities for young people pursuing careers in the creative sector.
