Man sentenced to 25 years in 2023 killing of Madison teen

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – A man was sentenced Thursday in the killing of a 15-year-old girl in 2023 outside of a Madison apartment complex.

Online court records show Reginald Sexton, 24, will serve 25 years in prison, followed by 15 years of extended supervision, in connection to the deadly shooting of Kyesha Miller.

Miller was killed in the October 2023 shooting outside of the Harmony Apartments, on the 5900 block of Milwaukee Street. Three other teens, including Miller’s sister, were hurt.

Sexton pleaded guilty to first-degree reckless homicide as party to a crime on June 22. Six other charges, including first-degree intentional homicide as party to a crime, were dismissed.

Other men arrested in connection to the shooting include Domon Goodwan, Donivan Douglas, Wilson Clark and Javian White. Court proceedings for the these suspects are ongoing.
