Vice President JD Vance’s four-year-old daughter Mirabel has become the unexpected star of the midterm campaign.
JD, 42, and his wife, Usha Vance, 40, were seen boarding Air Force Two at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, on Friday to head to Ohio to campaign for local Republican candidates ahead of the midterm elections.
But the couple’s young daughter appeared to steal the show when she was captured adorably skipping ahead of them to get onto the plane.
Video footage showed the couple, along with their four-year-old daughter and newborn son, Alec, getting off a Marine Two helicopter and heading to Air Force Two.
Mirabel, who was dressed in a green dress adorned with dinosaurs, was seen excitedly running towards the aircraft and doing a few little hops along the way.
The youngster tied a lavender sweater around her waist and donned some red and white sneakers, as well as large headphones to protect her ears from the sound of the helicopter.
Usha and JD – who carried little Alec in his arms – trailed behind the toddler, chatting with guards.
JD kept it simple for the outing, opting for a navy suit with a blue tie, while Usha wore a denim button-down top, jeans and white sneakers.
Not seen in the video was Vivek, six, who made his way onto the plane first holding the family dog, Atlas.
After the video was shared to X, Mirabel quickly became a viral sensation as many people took to the replies to gush over how cute she looked.
‘Mirabel is my favorite diva, a true icon,’ joked someone else.
‘Mirabel living her best life,’ read a fourth comment, while a fifth said: ‘Okay, this is adorable.’
It comes days after Usha proved to be quite the super mom as she nearly fell down a set of steps but caught herself while carrying her newborn baby in her arms.
Usha was captured losing her balance as she stepped off a Marine Two helicopter at Joint Base Andrews earlier in the week on Monday while she was holding two-month-old Alec in a carrier around her chest.
Usha, who dressed in a plaid, high-waisted skirt, brown top and knee-high heeled boots, stumbled after she missed a step while exiting the aircraft.
Thankfully, she caught herself, grabbing the railings of the staircase before regaining composure with a smile on her face.
The guards awaiting her at the bottom of the stairs didn’t move during the stumble.
Footage of the moment was shared on X where it went viral, as viewers praised the mom-of-four for handling the moment so gracefully.
‘The way she missed a step, caught herself, appeared to make a joke about it to the officers, all while holding a newborn,’ gushed one user.
Others slammed the men for not helping her when she tripped.
‘Not one person moved to help,’ wrote another viewer.
‘Why did no one help her off? She had a baby with herβ¦’ wondered someone else.
‘None of those men moved an inch to try to help her. Shocking,’ read a fourth post.
A fifth said: ‘And none of those dorks rushed in to help? WTF?’
JD exited the helicopter after her, holding their daughter in his arms.
The couple were escorted from the aircraft to Air Force Two to travel to Alaska for a campaign rally.
Usha and JD welcomed their fourth baby back in July.
‘We are excited to announce that our baby boy, Alec Neel Vance, was born this morning,’ JD wrote at the time.
‘Usha and the baby are happy and healthy, and our kids are overjoyed to meet their little brother.’
He went on to thank ‘the incredible military doctors and staff members of Walter Reed Medical Center and the White House Medical Unit,’ describing them as a ‘blessing.’
‘We are deeply thankful for all they have done for our family,’ he added.
The Vice President and Second Lady also share son, Ewan, nine.
