It Is A Major Blow To Ruto And His Party As UDA Insider Announces This To The Nation
President William Ruto is aiming to defend his seat on the United Democratic Alliance UDA party come next year elections. However, the head of state is facing stiff competition from The Equitable Party (TEP) leader Edwin Sifuna, Jubilee party leader Fred Matiang’i, Kalonzo Musyoka among other key opposition principals.
As we head into the election moods, United Democratic Alliance party has witnessed mass exodus of its leaders to opposition parties. With the recent announcement claiming Nairobi governor Johnstone Sakaja is on his way to the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party.
This has been claimed by UDA nominated senator Karen Nyamu who said that the governor’s time to announce his departure from Ruto’s UDA is coming but he will be joining ODM. This comes just hours after Gathoni Wamuchomba dumped the ruling party ahead of the next elections. This means Sakaja will be defending his position on the ODM ticket in the next elections.
