“I Spent So Much On You I Won’t Let You Go till You Pay Me GH¢190,000”— Man to Girlfriend on Live TV

According to a Post by Ghbase on Facebook Official account on Thursday, October 8, 2026, a relationship dispute involving a young woman identified as Selina Akumpisi and her boyfriend, Sylvester Okoh, has attracted attention after the man allegedly demanded GH¢190,000 before agreeing to their breakup.

Selina reportedly shared her experience with Ohemaa Adazoa of Ahenfie FM after she became frustrated with the situation. According to her, she no longer wants to remain in the relationship, but Sylvester has refused to accept her decision.

Selina explained that she first met Sylvester while she was still in senior high school. He proposed to her at the time, but she turned him down. After completing SHS, he approached her again, and she eventually agreed to become his girlfriend.

She said Sylvester supported her financially during the relationship, including helping with rent and other expenses. The two later began living together as a couple despite opposition from some members of her family, who were reportedly uncomfortable with the relationship because Sylvester is Ewe.

Selina said she remained with him because she was deeply in love. However, she claims his behaviour gradually became difficult for her to tolerate.

According to her, Sylvester would allegedly insult and embarrass her whenever he heard something about her that upset him. She said although he usually apologised after she explained matters to him, the pattern continued for a long time.

She eventually told him that she wanted to end the relationship, but he allegedly rejected the idea.

Selina further claimed that Sylvester brought schnapps and eggs and threatened to curse her because he believed he had done too much for her.

Sylvester, however, maintains that he loves Selina and does not want the relationship to end. He reportedly says she must pay him GH¢190,000, which he claims represents the money he has spent on her over the years.
