“He has been targeted for poisoning He should be careful with what he eats” – Kumchacha warns Kojo

Prophet Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Kumchacha, has advised newly elected New Patriotic Party (NPP) First Vice Chairman Kojo Fosu Boadu, also known as Kojo “Bamba,” to exercise caution over the food and drinks he consumes, claiming that he could be at risk of poisoning.

According to a GhanaWeb report published on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, the founder of Heaven’s Gate Ministry made the statement during an interview on Asempa FM on October 6.

Prophet Kumchacha said he had allegedly perceived the threat spiritually and was therefore warning Kojo Bamba to take precautions. He claimed that those who might seek to harm the politician would not necessarily be the individuals who contested the position with him, but rather people outside the contest who were dissatisfied with his new role.

Describing the warning as a prophecy, Kumchacha stressed that he does not frequently make such claims. “I am serious about it,” he said, while urging Kojo Bamba to be particularly careful about anything he eats, drinks or consumes.

The allegation has not been independently verified, and neither Kojo Bamba nor the NPP was reported to have responded to the claim.

Kojo Bamba recently secured the First Vice Chairman position at the NPP National Delegates Conference held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on October 3, 2026. He reportedly received 3,116 votes, finishing ahead of 12 other contestants.

Henry Nana Boakye came second with 3,061 votes, while Nana Akomea placed third with 2,987 votes. Under the electoral arrangement, the three highest-performing candidates were selected as vice chairmen.

Other results included Dr Mustapha Abdul-Hameed with 2,956 votes, Yaa Amponsah Frimpong with 1,503 and Richard Ahiagba with 1,001 votes.

The reported poisoning warning remains an unverified claim, and there is no evidence presented in the report establishing that a plot against Kojo Bamba exists.
