France confirms talks with Islamic Emirate on Afghan deportations

KABUL (TOLONews): France has confirmed that its talks with the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan regarding the return of some Afghan nationals are technical in nature and aimed at ensuring the security of French citizens.Speaking at a press conference, the spokesperson for France’s Foreign Ministry said the talks are similar to efforts being pursued by some other European countries and are intended to facilitate the deportation of Afghan nationals without legal residency who are considered a security threat by French authorities.
