Dede Chancelor makes appearance at Milan Fashion Week 2026
Ghanaian media personality Dede Chancelor attended Milan Fashion Week in Italy, walking near the Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2027 show on 26 September 2026.
She was among global stars such as Cardi B, Jennifer Lopez, Naomi Watts, Naomi Osaka and Dakota Johnson who were also present at the event.
Dede’s appearance has received attention on international media platforms, including Reuters.
Her image captured by Reuters photographer Claudia Greco is listed under Street style at Milan fashion week; Reuters Connect’s caption identifies her as Dede Chancellor and notes her pose near the show venue. It is a strong, searchable visual reference for editors covering her.
Her Milan itinerary included the CNMI Fashion Hub opening at Palazzo Morando, a platform for emerging designers and international creative talent, plus shows and presentations by Prada, Fendi and Phan Dang Hoang. She also experienced the street-style scene around Dolce & Gabbana and attended Voices in Denim, the Levi’s and Afro Fashion Association collaboration, meeting association founder Michelle Francine Ngonmo and connecting with designers and creatives.
A defining moment came through a personal invitation from Ghanaian-born designer Victor Reginald Bob Abbey-Hart, founder and creative director of VICTOR-HART. Chancelor attended the Spring/Summer 2027 womenswear show from the front row, experiencing Denim Diplomacy, the label’s first womenswear presentation.
Victor-Hart brings Ghanaian heritage into conversation with Italian craftsmanship, refined tailoring and contemporary workwear. Denim Diplomacy used denim to explore history, movement, identity and cultural exchange. His work has received international attention from Vogue Italia, WWD, Associated Press, Corriere della Sera’s Style magazine, NOWFASHION and The Impression. Chancelor also met the designer in person.
A fashion enthusiast and collector, Chancelor seeks rare and vintage luxury pieces from leading international houses, including Chanel and Dolce & Gabbana, among others. Her interest in pieces with history, craftsmanship and a distinctive point of view made Milan’s interplay of heritage and innovation especially resonant.
While in Milan, Chancelor made a brief trip to Monaco after receiving an invitation to Art & Luxury Monaco 2026 during Monaco Yacht Show week. She viewed an exhibition by Italian artist Alex Righetto at a gathering connecting contemporary art, collectors and luxury.
Milan Fashion Week is one of the world’s most influential fashion events, bringing together leading designers, luxury brands, models, celebrities, fashion journalists, buyers, stylists and content creators in Milan, Italy.
It is a major showcase for Italian craftsmanship, luxury fashion and emerging design talent. It also helps shape what people will see in shops, magazines and fashion campaigns in the seasons ahead.
Organised around the official fashion calendar of Italy’s National Chamber of Italian Fashion, known as Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI), the event features runway shows, collection presentations, industry gatherings and cultural activities.
Milan Fashion Week has had two major womenswear editions in 2026: the Autumn/Winter 2026/2027 shows, held from 24 February to 2 March, and the Spring/Summer 2027 edition, which ran from 22 to 28 September. Both were organised around Italy’s official fashion calendar.
The year’s biggest talking points have included changes in creative leadership at major fashion houses, new interpretations of Italian luxury, emerging designers and efforts to give the next generation of fashion talent greater visibility.
