42 flights cancelled, 68 delayed amid Gulf tensions
Air travel across Pakistan faced significant disruption on Friday as rising tensions in Gulf countries led to the cancellation of 42 flights and delays to another 68, affecting thousands of passengers.
Airport sources said flight schedules at several airports were affected, with delays ranging from two to seven hours. Passengers travelling to Saudi Arabia faced particular difficulties, including Umrah pilgrims whose journeys were disrupted by cancellations.
According to airport sources, security concerns also prompted the cancellation of several flights at airports in Saudi Arabia, further affecting flight operations in Pakistan.

At Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport, 13 flights were cancelled and 12 delayed. Karachi airport recorded 10 cancellations and 13 delays, while Islamabad airport reported nine cancelled flights and eight delays.
