What Opposition MP Nyoro Told Media Immediately He Was Suspended By Speaker & Stormed Out of Bunge

Following his sudden suspension by Speaker Moses Wetang’ula for five sitting days, Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro has taken his battle straight to the press corps outside the National Assembly.

Rather than backing down after his ejection from the chamber, the outspoken lawmaker has doubled down on his explosive allegations regarding state-sponsored investment pressure.

Addressing journalists immediately after storming out of Parliament, Nyoro has maintained that chief executives of various state corporations and pension funds have received coercive directives to buy shares in the Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) initial public offering.

He has insisted that these instructions have arrived as the IPO has neared its closing window, despite serious underlying concerns about the commercial viability of the transaction.

The legislator has expressed deep concern over the safety of public money, stating that forcing state entities into such deals has exposed pensioners’ hard-earned savings to devastating financial risks.

He has argued that public institutions have a duty to rely on sound professional advice and clear commercial logic rather than submitting to political arm-twisting.

According to the lawmaker, prioritizing political interests over sound financial analysis has fundamentally compromised administrative integrity across public sectors.

Nyoro has also clarified that no amount of parliamentary sanctions or formal suspensions has the power to silence him from defending public resources.

He has vowed to continue speaking out against questionable deals, framing his disciplinary penalty as a temporary setback in a broader fight for transparency and fiscal accountability.

His fiery press address has now intensified national debates around government oversight, leaving citizens eagerly watching how leadership will respond to these growing public concerns.
