Trump & Melania Fuel Marriage Speculation With Suspicious Comment Amid Claims They’re ‘Completely Estranged’ & ‘Not in a Healthy Place’

On Wednesday, October 7, Trump spoke at a Texas rally for Senate candidate Ken Paxton and ranted about Paxton’s opponent, Democrat James Talarico. The president alleged that Talarico is a vegan—which Talarico has denied—before rambling about the pronunciation of “vegan.”

Trump then recalled Melania correcting him on his pronunciation, telling the crowd, “You know, my wife told me, ‘Sir, do me a favor. You have to do me just a little bit of favor. It’s not ‘vay-gun,’ it’s ‘vee-gn.’ I don’t know about that stuff. I’m not into it… How the hell would I know? Yes, you read that right: Trump claimed Melania addresses him as “sir.” Pretty odd dynamic for a married couple, don’t you think? But, to each their own.

This suspicious “sir” comment comes amid intense speculation that Trump and Melania’s marriage is on its last legs.

In a September 27 YouTube video, political commentator David Pakman discussed recent comments Melania made on Fox & Friends about Trump’s schedule. According to the first lady, Trump “has a lot on his plate” and “works nonstop.”

Pakman questioned Melania’s knowledge of Trump’s work schedule because, according to him, she rarely sees the billionaire.

“How would Melania know that Trump is working from morning until evening?” he wondered. Pakman noted that Melania is “very independent” from the POTUS, adding that there’s even “reason to believe she’s completely estranged” from him.

“It seems as though they are mostly living separately,” Pakman continued. “They have separate bedrooms, when they’re even in the same building.”

Sure, Melania “could have detailed knowledge of his schedule” and might check his calendar every so often, but ultimately, she is “basically estranged” from Trump.

Other reports echo this sentiment, with Trump biographer Michael Wolff previously alleging that the two “barely speak” anymore. Relationship expert Gemma Logan added that Trump and Melania’s relationship is likely “not in a healthy place.”

“A marriage where two people are reportedly barely speaking is clearly not in a healthy place. Communication is the heartbeat of any long term relationship,” she told The Irish Star. “When conversation becomes minimal, couples can start living parallel lives rather than a shared one. At that point, the question isn’t simply whether they spend time together, but whether they still feel emotionally connected when they do.”

Still, Logan believes that Melania and Trump will find their way back to each other: “If reports about Donald and Melania Trump are accurate, the most important thing to remember is that distance in a marriage doesn’t always mean the relationship is over.”

“Some couples need constant closeness to feel connected,” she said. “Others function with far more independence, particularly when both partners have demanding lives, strong personalities and very different ways of dealing with public attention.”
