Stop Obsessing Over Obi, NDC Candidate’s Camp Replies Soludo
The media team of Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate Peter Obi has urged Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo to stop focusing excessively on Obi and instead concentrate on governing the state. Obi previously served as governor of Anambra State.
The response followed a publication reportedly linked to the ruling political establishment in Anambra, which called on residents of the state to reject Obi and the opposition.
However, Idris Zekeri Jnr., Obi’s Media Adviser and spokesman for Peter Obi Media Reach (POMR), dismissed the publication. He explained that Obi’s camp deliberately chose not to engage in an extensive exchange because doing so would give undue attention to what he described as an example of institutional absurdity.

Appeal Court Reserves Judgment on El-Rufai’s Bail Appeal
The Court of Appeal in Kaduna has reserved its decision on an appeal filed by former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai challenging the refusal of his bail request by the Kaduna State High Court.
The three-member panel, headed by Justice Onyekachi Otisi, reserved judgment after hearing submissions from lawyers representing El-Rufai and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
The appellate court did not announce a date for delivering its ruling.
After the proceedings, ICPC lead counsel Ayodeji Adedipe maintained that the Kaduna State High Court was justified in rejecting El-Rufai’s bail application. He consequently asked the Court of Appeal to dismiss the former governor’s appeal.
