ISLAMABAD – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said Wednesday that the remaining three Pakistani crew members of the MT Honor 25, which was hijacked off the coast of Somalia, had departed Addis Ababa for Karachi to return home safely.
In a post on X, the Deputy Prime Minister said the three crew members Imran Ali, Hussain Yousaf and Muhammad Yasin were leaving Addis Ababa for Karachi and would soon be reunited with their families.
He said Pakistan’s Ambassador in Addis Ababa had met the three crew members and ensured that they were provided with all necessary facilities and services during their stay in the Ethiopian capital.

Ishaq Dar said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Government of Pakistan, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, had made every possible effort to ensure the safe return of all Pakistani crew members.
He expressed gratitude to all those who contributed to the efforts to bring the crew members safely back home. “While we are pleased at the safe return of our people, we are deeply saddened by the deaths of three Pakistani crew members,” the Deputy Prime Minister said, offering prayers for the departed souls and patience and strength for their bereaved families.
