Railway Land Evictions to Start Nationwide on October 12, URC Warns

Uganda Railways Corporation says illegal structures will be demolished and resistant occupants arrested as it clears railway reserves ahead of planned works and expansion.Uganda Railways Corporation (URC) will begin a nationwide operation to evict illegal settlers and remove structures encroaching on railway reserve land on October 12, 2026.
