One killed, another injured in Kahna building collapse

One person was killed and another injured after the roof slab of a building collapsed in Engineering Town, Kahna Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.

According to rescue officials, excavation work was underway at an adjacent vacant plot when the wall and roof slab of the neighbouring building collapsed.

Two labourers were trapped under the debris following the collapse. Rescue teams recovered one body and one injured person from the rubble.

The deceased was identified as 54 year old Ilyas, while 28 year old Abdul Rahim sustained injuries after being trapped under the debris.

Rescue teams shifted the body and the injured man to General Hospital.
