According to PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa General Secretary Ali Asghar Khan, Sohail Afridi will lead the next phase of the march and remain present among party workers and supporters in different districts.

The participants will remain in Peshawar today, with the march scheduled to leave for Charsadda on October 9, where the participants will stay overnight.

On October 10, the march will proceed from Charsadda to Mardan and stay there for the night.

The march will then travel to Swabi on October 11 under Afridi’s leadership, where the participants will also stay overnight, Ali Asghar Khan said.

According to the schedule, the next phase is as follows:

October 8: Peshawar — overnight stay October 9: Charsadda — overnight stay October 10: Mardan — overnight stay October 11: Swabi — overnight stay

The announcement comes a day after Afridi criticised Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi for holding meetings with senior provincial officials, calling the move unconstitutional.

Addressing a provincial cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Afridi said the provincial government, assembly and cabinet were fully functional and that the governor had no constitutional authority to convene such meetings or issue directives on matters falling within the provincial government’s domain.

“The governor is holding unconstitutional meetings,” Afridi said, describing the meetings and any resulting directives as an attack on the Constitution.

He said the provincial government would seek the Advocate General’s opinion on the constitutional status of the governor’s meetings.

Afridi also said his government would not allow what he described as unconstitutional actions or attempts to undermine democracy.
