Koffi Olomide Turns Heads With Dapper Look Ahead Of Fred Machoka’s 50th Event
Congolese music icon Koffi Olomide has arrived in Kenya ahead of veteran broadcaster Fred Obachi Machoka’s highly anticipated 50th anniversary event.
Koffi was received by Machoka on Thursday evening, with the veteran presenter sharing a glimpse of the special welcome on social media.
The renowned musician was joined by his wife, Cindy Olomide, as they entered the country together.
Koffi Olomide, known as the “Grand Mopao,” instantly drew attention with his fashionable ensemble.
He stepped out in a sophisticated all-black outfit, accessorizing with a matching hat and designer sunglasses.
Machoka posted the photos with the caption, “King Quadra Kora, Koffi Olomide and Mrs. Olomide, Cindy, are here,” signaling the arrival of a major international star anticipated to headline the milestone celebration.
Koffi’s arrival precedes the #MachokaAt50 Grand Concert, set for Saturday, October 10, at the Ulinzi Sports Complex in Nairobi.
He is scheduled to perform at this event honoring Machoka’s 50 years in broadcasting.
The celebrations have already drawn numerous notable figures from Kenya and beyond.
Among those who have arrived in Nairobi for the occasion are Cameroonian rhumba artist Sam Fan Thomas and Congolese musician Alicious Theluji.
Machoka, who began his career in broadcasting during the 1970s, has established himself as one of the most recognized voices in Kenya, especially through his long-running program, Roga Roga.
His 50-year milestone has garnered recognition from senators and media professionals, who have lauded his significant contributions to broadcasting and African music culture.
With Koffi in Nairobi, excitement is growing for what is expected to be an unforgettable celebration of Machoka’s remarkable career.
